For Baked Goods & Food

AI ordering for bakeries and home bakers.

Cake and bread orders come in as messages, and timing is everything — wedding next week, birthday tomorrow. Botique takes the order with pickup date, dietary notes, and deposit, so you can focus on the bake instead of the back-and-forth.

Where DMs break down

  • Custom-order DMs all ask the same questions: size, flavour, dietary, pickup date.
  • Deposits get forgotten and no-show pickups cost you the ingredients.
  • Late-evening cake orders need confirming by morning — you're already in bed.

What Botique replies

Customer

Can you do a vanilla cake for Saturday for 20 people?

Botique

Yes — our 20-person vanilla cake is $95. Saturday pickup from Mt Eden. 50% deposit ($47.50) holds the slot. Want me to send the order form?

Customer

Gluten-free sourdough — ready tomorrow?

Botique

Tomorrow's GF sourdough is $14, pickup after 10am. One available. Want to lock it in?

Customer

Wedding cake for Jan 18?

Botique

Wedding cakes need 3 weeks notice and a 25% deposit. I'll tag my owner to discuss design — in the meantime I can send our cake sizing guide.

Why it fits a baked goods & food business

  • Deposit-with-order logic built in, so no-shows cost the customer, not you.
  • Pickup-date-aware stock — you can cap orders per day.
  • Hand-off to you for complex custom orders (wedding, multi-tier) without losing the customer.

Frequently asked questions

Can the bot take cake orders with pickup dates?

Yes. The order form supports a pickup date field, and the bot confirms the date in chat before sending the form. Per-day order caps work via stock counts on items ("Saturday GF sourdough: 6 loaves" → bot stops taking orders once those six are reserved).

How does Botique handle dietary requirements like gluten-free or vegan?

List dietary options as separate items in your catalog ("GF Vanilla Cake — 20 person") or surface them in tenant FAQs. The bot uses both as ground truth, so a customer asking "do you do vegan cakes?" gets your real answer, not a guess.

Does it handle deposits for custom orders?

Yes. Set a deposit percentage (e.g. 50% for cakes, 25% for wedding orders). The bot quotes the deposit alongside the total, and the order form collects it via Stripe or bank transfer. No more chasing deposits manually.

Will the bot accidentally take an order I cannot fulfill in time?

Lead times go in tenant FAQs ("Wedding cakes need 3 weeks notice; custom orders 5 days"). The bot quotes those before sending an order form. For complex custom orders the bot is configured to hand off to you rather than confirming dates it cannot verify.
